After winning the Asia Architecture Design Awards as the Best Furniture Agency in 2023, Italian Atelier and Sun Life Vietnam – De La Sól are excited to present to our Vietnamese audience the Into The Mirror exhibition, a surrealist experience inspired by the history of the Ultrafragola mirror and the societal norms faced on the journey of expressing individuality.
Ultrafragola is a prime example of distinction and the daring spirit of change. During its debut, this piece sparked intense debates about its design that boldly shattered societal norms. However, over time, Ultrafragola has evolved into an icon of innovation. This serves as the inspiration for the Italian Atelier and Sun Life Vietnam to present a surreal experiential exhibition – “Into The Mirror.” We encourage you to bravely look into yourselves and embrace the unique aspects of your identity.
For the first time in Vietnam, accompanied by Poltronova, the trailblazer of the unique and inspirational Radical Design movement, the exhibition is a fresh perspective on how the iconic Ultrafragola mirror challenged conventional beauty standards, envisioned by the genius designer Ettore Sottsass. The exhibition features a series of surrealist installations that reflect the different stages of self-discovery. You will also be able to interact with the iconic Ultrafragola mirror and reflect on the person you aspire to become. At the end of the exhibition, we hope you can answer the following question: “Which version of yourself do you aspire to become?”
